Prohibited items are goods that are either illegal or regulated in the destination country, or are not allowed by the carrier to be carried in their network. Examples include: weapons, drugs, explosives etc. Some less obvious prohibited items are: batteries, perishable food, and liquids of any kind. Items protected for loss only
Some items are allowed to be sent with the carriers, but they will not cover them for damages, even if cover is paid for when booking the parcel. The carrier may in some circumstances only pay for lost parcels. Examples would include: antiques, fishing rods and surfboards.
No Protection items
Some items the carriers will just not take under their normal services. These items would include: Precious metals and stones, watches, ceramics, artwork, amongst others.

Transit Times to Italy?
When you are sending a parcel to Italy, it is handy to know that it only takes a few days no matter which courier you use, but the transit time can be longer if you are further away from your local collection depot or the destination is in an extended area.
When your receiver is in an extended area, it can mean that before your parcels can go out for delivery, they have to make an additional journey within the destination country, often leading to at least an extra day in transit. Likewise, if your collection point is far away from your collection depot, you may have a very early cut-off time for same day collection, delaying the start of your goods transit.
To help your urgent parcels get to their destinations quicker, the couriers will often offer express or timed services, which make use of air travel rather than exclusively road services, helping cut down the time in transit for parcels that need to be there quickly.
